Kathryn & Sam

Kathryn and Sam married at the stunning and grand Somerford Hall in Staffordshire. An English country garden wedding intertwined with the heritage of Scotland featuring blush sweet avalanche roses, peonies, white hydrangeas and thistles. Having postponed their wedding twice, this wedding was pure celebration for everyone involved.

Inside Somerford Hall we filled it’s grand staircase with meadows of delphiniums, roses, hydrangeas and stocks. The staircase not only created a floral focal piece but it was the first thing guests saw as they arrived and was where Kathryn and her father descended for the wedding. Large scale floral pieces can take up a large portion of your budget, however it’s always better to not spread your budget out too thinly and instead invest in the key areas of your venue for maximum impact.

Kathryn’s bouquets was a pure celebration between the English and Scottish heritages featuring scented garden roses, Sarah Bernhardt peonies, white thistles and stocks. We tied the bouquet with blush silk ribbons and a loving tribute to Kathryn’s late mother.

Somerford has a beautiful blue ballroom where ceremonies take place and a stunning fireplace where we created a mantlepiece statement filled with Sarah Bernhardt peonies, thistles, white hydrangeas and sweet avalanche roses. We placed either side of the ceremony table beautiful urns filled with textured foliage, snapdragons, hydrangeas and roses, framing the arched windows of the ballroom.

After the ceremony we transformed the ballroom into an elegant, romantic wedding breakfast styled with hand tied arrangements, blush rose bud vases, elegant glass candlesticks and blush Ester and Erik candles. As part of our service we can source candles and candlesticks to complement your floral arrangements.

Thank you to Kathryn and Sam for allowing us to design your beautiful wedding. And to Steve Sutton for capturing the day.
